NetSuite Adds Approval Controls to Compliance 360

Oracle NetSuite has introduced additional audit management capabilities in Compliance 360 version 3.1.0, including an optional approval workflow, defined reviewer responsibilities, and bulk audit control assignments.

Key enhancements include:

• Audit Approvals: Audits can be submitted for approval after all controls receive a Pass or Fail status and an audit summary is completed.
• Reviewer Responsibilities: Designated approvers can approve or reject audits without modifying the underlying audit documentation during review.
• Bulk Control Assignments: Authorized users can update control owners and due dates across multiple controls within an audit.

The approval workflow is disabled by default and must be enabled by a Compliance Officer. Compliance 360 is a separately licensed SuiteApp designed for NetSuite OneWorld.

For controllers and accounting leaders, these enhancements provide additional tools to formalize audit review procedures, document approvals, and strengthen accountability within the internal control environment.
